HRANA News Agency – After more than two months of being kept in solitary confinement, Ali Moezi was transferred to his previous prison “Karaj Central Penitentiary”. The officers told him that a new case has been opened against him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Moezi, political prisoner in “Karaj Central Penitentiary”, was transferred to solitary confinement in Evin prison on 12th October this year, and he was there until late December.
Officials informed him that a new case has been opened against him and he will not be released by the end of his current sentence. While, his sentence ends in June 2015.
Ali Moezi, who has a record of detention in 80th, was arrested in autumn 2008 and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and 3 years suspended prison, then he was released after serving 2 years in Rajai Shahr prison, but, again on 12th June 2011, he was arrested due to participating in memorial ceremony for executed political prisoner, Ali Saremi.
The Revolutionary court, Branch 15, sentenced him, in his absence, to one year in prison on charge of supporting MEK and with 3 years suspended sentence on his previous sentence it becomes 4 years imprisonment.
