HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi’s long hunger strike followed by medical deprivation has created irreparable complications. Mr. Sadeghi is still unable to digest food and has to take medicine for his condition. This is while Sarallah base of the IRGC continues to sabotage any progress in his medical treatment and impose heavy limitations on it. He is not given a medial furlough and hospitalization is being denied. Adding to all these issues, some reports are surfacing that his medical records and documents might be missing.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Arash Sadeghi, civil rights activist who is imprisoned in ward number 350 of notorious Evin prison, is still in a critical condition.

Despite his critical condition and inability to digest food, his medical treatment process is facing huge sabotage by Sarallah Headquarters of IRGC, for instance all of his scheduled hospital transfers for coming weeks have been cancelled by this organization.
A close source to Mr. Sadeghi told HRANA’s reporter, “Arash’s stomach still does not digest food and he can only eat a cup of lentil or chicken soup water without noodle. He is using asthma spray three times a day. No examination was taken of his heart and kidneys after the end of hunger strike. Arash was diagnosed with heart arrhythmia during the strike. In addition 70% of his right and 20% of his left kidneys are lost, but as it was mentioned, no examination has been taken. Arash currently weighs about 50 Kg and that is 20kg less than his normal weight”.
He has to use many different medications for his medical problems due to the damage that his body has suffered. The medications are: “Mothidone for gastric ulcer, Pyrodlex for digestion and excretion (while Arash Sadeqi is still unable to eat food and uses this same pill for the same lentil juice that consumes a serving per day), Bisacodyl and magnesium Hydroxide, Pentomide used for gastric and reflux syndromes and nausea, indicating that Arash Sadeqi’s stomach has been severely damaged, which, according to the physician, should be used for prolonged periods”.
Other medications that are being used by Arash Sadaghi that indicates his critical condition and required prison authorities’ imminent attention are:
– Femilac: prescribed for the relief of gastrointestinal disorders and gastrointestinal ulcers, as well as for the restoration of the immune system.
