HRANA News Agency – A prisoner was executed in Brojerd prison on charge of murder. This execution led to tribal tensions and violence in his village. Also, recently one prisoner in Bandar Abbas, two in Tabriz Central Prison, and one prisoner in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz, and at least 8 prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, were executed.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mahmoud Torabi, charged with murder, was executed in Brojerd prison, on April 20, 2017.

Mr. Torabi, was held for 8 years in prison, while he had been sentenced to death.

A source close to Torabi family, told HRANA’s reporter: “When Mahmoud was executed, tribal tensions and violence in Kafshgaran village, in Brojerd left casualties.”
