HRANA News Agency – A 27-year-old prisoner was executed on charge of murder in Shiban Prison (Vocational Training Community in Ahwaz).

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), a prisoner named “Fazel Mazrae” was executed in Shiban Prison (Vocational Training Community in Ahwaz) on August 8, 2017.

A local human rights activist confirmed the news and told HRANA’s reporter that “Mr. Mazrae was 27 years old and had killed one of his relatives in a family conflict two years ago”.

The source added: “The victim’s parents had requested 140 billion IRR for their consent. So he was executed, due to the inability of the Mazrae family to provide this amount.”

Shiban Prison is located in the north of Ahvaz and along Ahvaz-Shooshtar road and in the east of the Karoun River.

The prison had become whereabouts of former prisoners of Karoun prison after the closure of Karoun Prison in Ahvaz.
