HRANA News Agency – Hossein Danesh Payeh, political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court in this city. The judge has added his “one year of probation” period, despite its execution period was expired, in his new sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hossein Danesh Payeh, political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court in this city, for “cooperation with Kurdish opposition groups”.
The court verdict has added his previous one year imprisonment sentence which was suspended for 2 years from 2012, despite the passage of four years and lose of the ability to run, so that his total imprisonment sentence has been increased to 6 years.
Mr. Danesh Payeh had earlier been convicted on the similar charges of membership and cooperation in one of the Kurdish opposition groups by the Revolutionary Court in Saghez, in 2012.
