Prison sentence for five Baha’is residing in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – Five Baha’is have been summoned to Vakilabad prison in Mashhad serve their imprisonment sentences.

 

According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), these people who have been sentenced to 6 months in prison after being charged of propaganda against regime by promoting Baha’ism, were sent to prison on Sunday November 17.

 

Their names are as follows: Arman Mokhtari, Negin Ahmadian, Horieh Mohseni, Behnaz Hadadzade and Negar Malek zadeh.

 

It is noteworthy that two of above mentioned citizens (Horieh Mohseni and Negin Ahmadian) who already have been sentenced to a fine, now encountered a change of verdict to the prison sentence equivalent of one day per 30000 Tomans.

 

It should be mentioned that 12 Baha’is are currently in Vakilabad Prison for the same offence.
