HRANA News Agency – Retaliation sentence of “blinding eyes with acid” of the second eye of Mojtaba Yasawoli (Saheli) will be executed in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj on May 17th. Blinding Mojtaba Saheli’s first eye was the first sentence for acid attack crime in Iran which was carried out in 2014. He has been given time to pay the blood money and the cost of treating victim of the acid attack, to avoid the second eye blinding sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), retaliation sentence of “Blinding eyes with acid” of the second eye of Mojtaba Yasawoli (Saheli) who had blinded someone with acid in 2009, will run in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
A source close to Yasawoli family in a contact with HRANA, has mentioned that the exact date of the execution is Tuesday 17 May.

HRANA had already reported that the retaliation sentence of blinding the first eye of Mojtaba Yasawoli, prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, with acid was done after 5 years with Tehran prosecutor’s confirmation and in the presence of Judge Mohammad Shahriari, Tehran deputy prosecutor and head of the Criminal Court, prison authorities and medical forensic and a group of medical specialists and the defendant was given time to pay the blood money and the cost of treating victim of the acid attack to avoid the second eye blinding sentence, on 3rd March 2015.
The sentence was the first eye retribution sentence in Iran that 5 years after the adoption of acid attack Penal Code was conducted in March 2015 and has been widely echoed in the international media.
Mojtaba Yasawooli (Saheli), 31, currently is in Ward 2 of Hall 4, Daralqran, in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
