Reyhaneh Jabbari’s execution has been postponed

HRANA News Agency – Reyhaneh Jabari was taken back to Shahre Rey prison (Gharchak Varamin) and her family was told informally that the execution is temporarily postponed.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Reyhaneh Jabari, a prisoner in Shahre Ray (Gharchak Varamin), who was accused of murder due to an unclear and unfair process; and was convicted to execution, on Monday afternoon, 29th of September, was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison to be executed.

Officials of Rajai Shahr prison had asked her mother to go to prison office on Tuesday morning, to take over Reyhaneh’s body.

This news created a wave of concern among the civil society activists, particularly in the virtual networks.

ILNA and ISNA News Agencies in different news denied that Rayhana Jabari was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison, but her family and her lawyer said that they are disinformation and they can be for preparation of execution in silence and ignorance.

Eventually, Reyhaneh was returned back by the officials to Shahre Ray prison and was allowed to talk on the phone with her family.

There is no information available about Ashraf Nazari, other prisoner who has been sentenced to execution and had been transferred to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj yet.
