HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mohammad Ebrahimi, civil activist who had been recently released from prison after serving nearly five years was sentenced to one year in prison on charge of “propaganda against the system” through “relationship with Ahmed Shaheed and families of political prisoners”.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Seyed Mohammad Ebrahimi, civil activists who had been recently released from prison after serving nearly five years was sentenced to one year in prison on charge of “propaganda against the system” through “relationship with Ahmed Shaheed and informing about families of political prisoners” at branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court by judge Moghise.
The verdict was issued in November and have been notified to the civic activist.
Sedigheh Zeinali, Mr. Ebrahimi’s mother told in an interview with HRANA’s reporter: “Due to Mohammad’s condition, more than anything, I am concerned about his health”, Ms. Zeinali considered the verdict as unfair.
It is worth mentioning Mohammad Ebrahimi had been sentenced to five years in prison on charges of illegal gathering and collusion, insulting the leader and participating in demonstrations.
The civil rights activist was released from Rajai Shahr prison after serving 4 years and 9 months, on May 28, 2016, due to lung disease and spinal problems.
