Seyed Mohammad Hossein Kazemeini Boroujerdi Sent to Furlough after 11 Years of Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Boroujerdi, a prisoner of conscience in Evin prison, who has started the eleventh year of his imprisonment, was sent to medical leave for the first time.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), following the serious illness of Mr. Seyyed Hossein Boroujerdi, prisoner of conscience in Evin prison and after satisfying the “heavy condition” of Special Clerical Court, including a bail of three billion IRR, and the bail by two guarantors, this prisoner of conscience was sent to medical leave.
A close source to Mr. Borojerdi, by announcing this news, told HRANA’s reporter: “As Mr. Boroujerdi is in his eleventh year of imprisonment and since early the beginning has been deprived of medications and medical treatment, he has got different diseases, including respiratory and heart disease and suffers from long term imprisonment and tortures and recently his physical condition was critical.”
HRANA had reported earlier that, following the deterioration of health condition of Seyed Mohammad Hossein Kazemeini Boroujerdi, prison authorities transferred him to an undisclosed hospital emergency room outside the prison, on Sunday morning, January 1, 2017.
Mr. Boroujerdi has been suffering from “intense bone pain” and has been transferred to infirmary of Evin prison for several times in recent months but each time without appropriate treatment.
This prisoner of conscience has got heart and lung problems due to mistreatment during his imprisonment and the poor condition of the prison, nevertheless, Mr. Boroujerdi has been deprived of proper medical care. Mr. Boroujerdi has got joints and bones pain and also the arteries.
Ayatollah Boroujerdi who had been arrested and imprisoned in the years 1995, 2000 and 2005, and had been released, last time was arrested in 2006 and was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment and confiscation of his properties.
He was kept in Yazd prison for a year and then was transferred to Evin prison.
