Shokofeh Azar Masooleh Will Be Released On The Bail

HRANA News Agency – There has been a bail order issued for Shokofeh Azar Masooleh, civil activist, detained in Evin prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), for this civil activist a bail with the amount of 40 million tomans was issued. At first a bail of 100 million tomans had been issued but due to inability to deposit, it was changed to 40 million tomans.

According to her lawyer her charges have been announced as propaganda against the regime and collusion with the intention to disrupt the national security. One of Ms. Azar’s charges has been announced as participating in demonstrations to protest against the acid attacks.

Shokofeh Azar Masooleh, a graduate student in international business was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence agents and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison on 8th June.

She was interrogated for two weeks in ward 209 and then was transferred to women’s ward of Evin Prison. Shokofeh Azar was notified of her charges on Branch 6 of the Moghadas Court, on 15th September 2015.

This civil activist from the first day of being detained till now has been deprived of having visit because of the loss of a family (parents passed away and she was the only child) and now is in her eight month of detention in Evin’s women’s ward.
