Sunni prisoner prevented from seeing his family for more than 4 years

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner of conscience awaiting execution in Iran’s Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj has been prevented from having family visits for more than four years.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shaho Ibrahimi, who is married and has a daughter, has been unable to see his family for the past four years, with the authorities failing to give permission for him to receive family visits.

He was arrested on 12 April 2010, shortly after his wedding.

He was detained in the Ministry of Intelligence detention centers in Sanandaj and Zanjan for more than a year, before being transferred to Rajai Shahr prison on 14 December 2011.
