HRANA News Agency – Following prisoners’ protests against compulsory stay in prison courtyard “to get some fresh air” in winter weather while prisoners do not have appropriate warm cloth, 8 political prisoners in ward 8 of Evin prison were transferred to solitary confinements and subsequently, they went on hunger strike. Recent news suggests that, Saeid Shirzad has been beaten and transferred to Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), following a guild complain by prisoners in ward 8 of Evin prison regarding a compulsory use of ward courtyard in the cold weather while there is a lack of warm clothing, on Monday noon, Aso Rostami, Amir Amirgholi and Amir Hushang Navaei, were taken to solitary confinements and so they went on hunger strike.
