The Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Ali Fatahi, a chemical engineering student at the University of Science and Technology, to three years in prison. Fatahi was arrested amid nationwide protests by IRGC forces.
According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, quoting the Iranian Students’ Union, student Ali Fatahi was sentenced to three years in prison for “assembly and collusion against national security.”
On November 2, 2022, in cooperation with the University officials, IRGC forces arrested Fatahi at the University gate. He was released on bail after 35 days.
