Attorney at law Amir-Afshar Najafi was sentenced to 17 months in prison. He was also banned from leaving the country and practising law for two years. The court also ordered the seizure of his cell phone.
According to this verdict, Najafi received one year for “propaganda against the regime” and five months for “spreading falsehood to disturb public opinion.”
Najafi is an attorney at law and a member of the Qazvin Bar Association.
