Hassan Amini Transferred to Sanandaj Prison to Serve Sentence

On July, Hassan Amini, the brother of Mohammad Amini, who was killed at the hands of regime forces during the 2022 nationwide protests, was arrested to serve his prison sentence and transferred to Sanandaj Prison, according to a report by Kurdpa.

In July 2023, Mr. Amini was sentenced by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court of Bukan to six months and fifteen days in prison and forty lashes for “disrupting public order.”

Amini was arrested by security forces on June 9th last year during a protest gathering at the burial place of Danial Pabandi, another victims during the the 2022 nationwide protests. He was released on bail from Bukan Prison after four days of detention.

According to published reports, Mohammad Amini was shot and killed by security forces on October 8, 2022, during protests in Sanandaj.

Three Inmates Executed in Rasht and Karaj

On December 15, 2022, three inmates convicted of murder and drug-related crimes were executed in Lakan Prison in Rasht and the Central Prison of Karaj.

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, on December 15, 2022, quoting Iran Human Rights Organization, Hassan Amini and Amir Abbasi were executed in Lakan Prison, Rasht, Gilan Province.

These individuals were previously sentenced to death for murder.

Also, an Afghan national identified as Reza Tajik convicted of drug-related crimes was executed in the Central Prison of Karaj.

 

The Popular Judge of Kurdistan Prevented from Traveling to Zahedan

HRANA News Agency – Hassan Amini, the popular judge in Kurdistan and the principal of the seminary of Imam Bukhari was prohibited from participating in the graduation ceremony of the students of Darul Uloom Zahedan by the Intelligence service of this city. Mr. Amini was threatened by this security department that if he would participate in the event, there would be problems for him.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the popular judge in Kurdistan was prohibited from participating in the graduation ceremony of the students of Darul Uloom Zahedan (Khatm Bokhari Sharif), by a threatening phone call from the Intelligence Office in this city. Sunni Cleric Under the Pressure of Intelligence Ministry

HRANA News Agency – Kak Hassan Amini, one of political-religious figures and religious judges in Kurdistan, said that he was banned from departing the country and was being threatened and summoned by the security authorities. This Mufti has an open court case which started in 2009 and has not been processed yet.
Kak Hassan Amini, Mufti and religious judge said to HRANA, “My court case is open since 2009 in special court for religious leaders. Each year two times the intelligence service of Sanandaj summons and interrogates me, and all the time I am being threatened by them for my religious activities”.
