On October 4, 2022, the nationwide protests after the death of Mahsa Amini continued in several universities across Iran. On at least 26 universities campus, the students held protests. The students chanted slogans such as “Woman, Life, Freedom,” “Jailed students should be freed,” “We will fight, We will take Iran back,” and “Death to the dictator.” They also chanted slogans against the Supreme Leader, Khamenei.

The global backlash against Mahsa Amini’s death and support for the Iranian protests continued, while the hashtag Mahsa Amini (مهسا_امینی#) was used over 210 million times on Twitter.

Once again, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) broadcasted several coerced confessions from several individuals arrested during the protests.

According to IRGC-affiliated Fars News, during the seventeen days of protests, 15 police vehicles, 70 buses, 85 Ambulances and 30 fire trucks have been damaged.

Yesterday, HRANA identified 32 arrests. HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, is still working on fact-checking and reviewing the obtained reports independently.

Since September 20, Iran’s regime has restricted Iranians’ access to the global Internet just as they did during the protests in November 2019. Most parts of the country, especially Kurdistan, faced internet and mobile phone disruptions and outages.

According to Internet Outage Detection & Analysis (IODA), yesterday, the Irancell internet network users faced a total outage after 10:25 am.
