HRANA News Agency – Security forces went to house of Mohammad Mehdi Nekounam, son of Ayatullah Nekounam, critical cleric, and inspected the house and arrested him on October 27, 2017.

Ayatollah Nekounam Sent to Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Reza Nekounam, dissident cleric in Saheli prison in Qom, was sent to medical leave. The length of this leave has not been determined.

Ayatollah Nekounam in Critical Health Condition in Prison

HRANA News Agency – The general health condition of Ayatollah Nekounam, critic clergy who is imprisoned in Saheli prison of Qom, has deteriorated again. Despite facing pain in kidney, eye sore that is the result of kidney infection and rise of blood sugar, authorities are preventing him from being transferred to prison clinic.

The Forensics Voted on Ayatollah Nekounam’s Inability to Endure Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Forensics has voted for the third time on Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam’s inability to endure the imprisonment. Despite that vote, this patient prisoner remained in Saheli prison.  Denial of medical leave for Mr. Nekounam is while he has been, recently, transferred to prison’s infirmary.

Ayatollah Nekounam Transferred to a Hospital in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, dissident cleric jailed in Saheli prison in Qom, was transferred to a hospital after being kept in the infirmary of the prison for 3 days. Although Mr. Nekounam had recently ended his 35-day hunger and medication strike, but his physical condition is still very bad.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, critic and independent Shiite Marja, following the “physical deterioration” caused by the effects of a stroke and 35-day hunger and medicine strike, was transferred to and “undisclosed hospital in Tehran” on January 31, 2017. Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Returned to the Prison Without Proper Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, Shiite Marja and dissident cleric, was returned to Saheli prison in Qom without proper treatment. Currently, due to increased blood sugar he suffers from pain and one of his eyes suffers an infection following the “scratches” and lack of treatment, on the other hand the medical facilities of the prison are very limited and he is prevented being sent to the hospital.

Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Returned to the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Imprisoned dissident cleric, Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, who previously had been transferred from prison to a hospital outside the Saheli prison of Qom was returned to the prison.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), despite the insistence of doctors in the hospital, on inability to endure the imprisonment by Ayatollah Nekounam which is approved by Forensics of Tehran, on the orders of the Special Court for the Clergy, this prisoner was returned to the prison.
