Shahin Azari Arrested by Security Forces in Naqadeh

HRANA – Salam (Shahin) Azari, a resident of Naqadeh, was arrested by security forces in the city and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, citing Kurdpa, Salam (Shahin) Azari was arrested in Naqadeh.

According to the report, Mr. Azari was arrested at his workplace on Sunday, August 23, without the presentation of a judicial warrant. His arrest was reportedly accompanied by violence by security forces.

Security forces arrested Salam (Shahin) Azari in Naqadeh in November 2023, during a raid on his family home. They transferred him to a security detention facility in Urmia, where he underwent interrogation, before moving him to Naqadeh Prison.

In February 2023, Mr. Azari was released on bail after spending several months in detention.
