The exile of Mokhtar Assadi, teachers activist, extended off

HRANA News Agency – the Department of Education in Kurdistan Province has extended off the exile of Mokhtar Asadi for the fifth year.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the exile of Mokhtar Asadi, a member of Teachers’ Union of Iran and Kurdistan and also a human rights activist, has been extended off by the Department of Education in Kurdistan Province for the fifth year.

His wife (also a teacher) and three children live in Kurdistan, but he is in exile in Karaj.
Mokhtar Asadi holds a Masters degree in Sociology from Tehran University and is a social and human rights activist. In the last few years, he was dismissed from his teaching position for several months and was exiled for years. In 2010, he was arrested and locked up in solitary confinement for months in Rajai-Shahr Prison and then Ward 209 of Evin but was eventually released on bail.
