Transfer of prisoners from Ward 350 at Evin Prison continues

HRANA News Agency – On the morning of Sunday 14 September, 2014, two more prisoners were transferred from Ward 350 to Ward 7 at Evin Prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), “Esmaeel Barzegari” and “Ali Alaie” are the two transferred prisoners from Wars 350 at Evin Prison who were taken to Ward 7 this morning.
During the past couple of days, “Amir Eslami” and “Mostafa Abdi” – both member of Gonabad Sufis – were also transferred to Wards 7 and 8 at Evin Prison.
“Ali Alaie” who is a high security prisoner, is suffering from advanced Alzheimer and has been served 2 out of his 10 years sentence.
“Esmaeel Barzegari” is a musician from Azerbaijan district in Iran who was arrested in spring 2011 on the charges of “Propaganda against State” and “Gathering, Cooperation, Communication and Collude with Azerbaijan Government”. He went on trial at Branch 26 of Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran by Judge Pir Abbasi and was sentenced to 7.5 years imprisonment.
