Zartosht Ahmadi Ragheb Arrested in His House

HRANA News Agency –Zartosht (Esmaeil) Ahmadi Ragheb was arrested by security forces in his house, while no court order was shown, and his personal accessories were seized.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on November 13, plainclothes forces arrested Zartosht (Esmaeil) Ahmadi Ragheb, civil rights activist, in his house in Shahriar.
A close source to the family of Ahmadi told HRANA’s reporter, “Plainclothes said they had a court order, but they did not show it and seized his personal accessories like computer, cell phone and so on”.
This source said, “security forces responded to Mr. Ahmadi when he asked for the reason of the arrest: ‘You will continue the conversation with the judge’.”
This civil rights activist had been previously also arrested and imprisoned for his peaceful activities.
Branch number 1 of the revolutionary court of Shahriyar had sentenced Zartosht Ahmadi to 6 months in prison, on charge of sharing posts with criticizing contents on his Facebook page.
Mr. Ahmadi Ragheb has another case about attending a peaceful protest when he was arrested in front of Dena Tire building in Tehran along with other protestors, and transferred to ward number 8 of Evin prison, on February 16, 2016. He was released on December 7 on the bail.
