Zartosht Ahmadi Ragheb Will Be Tried In Tehran In March

HRANA News Agency – The trial of the second case of Zartosht (Ismail) Ahmadi Ragheb, civil activist, will be held at Branch 1044 of the Judicial Center of “Shahid Ghodosi”, on 8th March. He was charged with “disturbing public order” because of taking part in a peaceful civil gathering.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this case is related to his arrest in civil activists’ gathering at Vanak Square (Dena Tire).
Zartosht Ahmadi Ragheb was arrested along with a number of civil activists in a gathering in front of Dena Tire, and was transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison, on 23rd November. The gathering was formed for advocacy and support of political prisoners.
This civil activist was released from ward 8 of Evin prison on the bail on 7th December.
Mr. Ahmadi Ragheb has another case in the Revolutionary Court in Shahriar which was supposed to be held in Branch 1 of Revolutionary Court in Shahriar, on 19th January, but according to his request and the approval of the judge had been postponed to 16th February.
Mr. Ahmadi’s charge has been announced as; “propaganda against the regime”. In connection with this case, he was summoned to the security police last July and also was summoned to the Revolutionary Court in November.
