2 Political Prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison Transferred to Hospitals

HRANA News Agency – Ali Salanpoor and Asadullah Hadi, 2 political prisoners of Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, were transferred to Medical Centers.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Monday 9th March, Ali Salanpoor was transferred to Shohada Hospital in Tajrish.

Also, Asadullah Hadi, other political prisoner, was transferred to Medical Centre out of prison. It has been told that he was also transferred to Shohada Hospital in Tajrish.

Ali Salanpoor suffers from problems on his back and neck. Before, one of his closed relatives had told HRANA’s reporter: “Injuries were caused by tortures during the interrogations in December 2010, and after a long time suffering and enduring pains and ache, his treatment started and is going on very slowly.”

It should be mentioned that, Ali Salanpoor was arrested on 19th December 2010, and was tried in the Revolutionary Court on charges of acting against national security through supporting People’s Mojahedin Organization and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, he is now held in Hall 12 of Rajai Shahr Prison, in Karaj.

Asadullah Hadi was arrested in 2009 on charge of acting against national security and disturbing public order and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.

In addition, he had been in prison in 1980s, as well.
