2 Sunni prisoners are in critical health condition

HRANA News Agency – Despite deterioration of physical condition of Shahram Ahmadi and Arash (Ramin) Sharifi, these two prisoners of conscience are still deprived of medical treatment.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arash (Ramin) Sharifi is suffering from Keratoconus in both eyes. The physicians have stated that he had almost lost his left eye and his right eye is on a very critical condition.

 

An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter: “While Dr. Hossein Boujari, the Surgeon and ophthalmologist and member of European cataract refractive surgery society, said both eyes of Arash are on urgent need for corneal transplant. However the prison clinic physician, Dr. Ghasemi, under pressure of intelligent service officers, has said to Arash Sharifi that his eyes are Ok and there is no need for his transfer to hospital.”

 

Shahram Ahmadi, the other prisoner of conscientious of ward 350 of Evin prison, who has lost his left kidney on, now has confronted with serious physical problems due to infection of the other kidney.

 

This source said about the situation of Shahram Ahmadi: “He is suffering from kidney bleeding and during past days he was taken to clinic several times during which the prisons physician asked for ultrasound, however it is not performed yet.”
