3 Detained Civil Rights Activists Transferred to Prison of Khoy

HRANA News Agency – Three civil activists, who were arrested in Khoy on Tuesday 17th February, have been transferred from Intelligence detention center to central prison of this city.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), three Azerbaijani civil activists named; Amin Hajilo, Araz Khasehnejad and Islam Ali Akbarloo who were arrested by security forces of Khoy, on Tuesday Morning, 17th February, were transferred to central prison of this city on Wednesday 18th February.
It should be added that, their families went to Revolutionary Court and Intelligence office, while they were worried about these civil activists, asking about the reason of their arrest and their whereabouts but they got no answers.
An informed source in this regard, told HRANA’s reporter, “The security forces searched workplace of Islam Ali Akbarloo and have seized his computers and personal belongings.”
According to this source, probably these 3 citizens’ arrest is in conjunction with the celebration of the International Day of Mother Language in Khoy.
It is noteworthy that, Amin Hajilo, Azerbaijani poet, had been called by the security forces several times for writing poems with ethnic themes and running Turkish language classes.
Also, Ali Akbarloo was summoned and detained by the security forces during the last several years, because of his Identity-seeking activities. In 2011, he was arrested after a civil activists’ funeral in Khoy, and after eleven days in prison, he was released on a bail of 100 million Rials.
According to the latest news, it has been agreed that Amin Hajilo, Araz Khasehnejad and Islam Ali Akbarloo would be released on the bail.
