8 bloggers arrested in Rafsanjan

HRANA News Agency – Eight bloggers, including a woman, have been arrested by security forces, on charge of insulting Islamic values, in Rafsanjan in Kerman province.

 

According to Rafsang website, and Radio Zamaneh, Hossein Raeisinejad, Rafsanjan’s attorney general, has stated, “These people were offending religious sanctities and Islamic values, by publishing offensive context in cyber space.”

 

Raeisinejad added, “As it has been causing concerns among community, technical police and security investigation has started, and accordingly 8 people, including one woman were arrested.”

 

The attorney general of Rafsanjan said, “After primarily investigation and issuance of temporary detention, these people were transferred to prison.”

 

Identity of the detainees have not been publicized yet.
