“Adnan Hasanpour” went on furlough for the first time

HRANA News Agency- “Adnan Hasanpour”, a Prisoner Journalist was sent on a holiday from prison for the first time in 8 years.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), yesterday “Adnan Hasanpour” a Kurd Journalist was sent on a holiday from prison for the first time in 8 years.
This Kurd Journalist was arrested on 25 January, 2007 and on 12 June, 2007 was sentenced to death on the charge of “waging war against state”.
Before his arrest, he was a member of editorial board “Yasuo weekly” which used to be published in Farsi and Kurdish languages. This weekly magazine was banned in 2005 in charges of “Acting against national security and disturbing public opinion”
The sentence given to this Kurdish Journalist was reduced to 15 years imprisonment at the appeal court and he was deprived of any holiday leave since then.
