HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Daneshpoor Moghadam, the political prisoner who is sentenced to death, was transferred to prison clinic, due to critical physical condition and passing out, on January 12, 2014.
 
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this political prisoner is suffering from Ulcerative Colitis and has lost more than 40kg of his weight because of this disease.
 
This prisoner has passed out, due to deterioration of his physical condition and as result injured his chin last Saturday but still the prison authorities refuse to give the permission for his transfer to the hospital.
 
Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the large intestine the reason of which is still unknown. The only certain cure is surgery which is carried out on certain patients and depends on physician’s opinion and treatment.
 
Ahmad Daneshpoor Moghadam has been arrested in January 2010, on charge of collaboration with MEK and is sentenced to death.
