Ali Mavat on Hunger Strike in Urmia Intelligence Office

HRANA News Agency – According to close sources to Ali Mavat who has been detained in solitary confinement since five months ago in Intelligence Office Detention Center in Urmia, has gone on hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ali Mavat has gone on hunger strike in protest at his condition of detention in solitary confinement for about 5 months in Intelligence Office Detention Center in Urmia.
A close source to Mavat family expressed the concern of his family about him and told HRANA’s reporter: “Ali Mavat has gone on hunger strike in protest at lack of processing and restrictions put on him, also not being transferred to the central prison and the non-issuance a bail for his temporary release.”
Ali Mavat was arrested along with eleven Sunni citizens last June.
This Bukani citizen also had been arrested in 2012 and endured 16 months imprisonment.
