Ali Moezi Exiled to Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Ali Moezi, political prisoner in ward eight of Evin prison, who had been exiled to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj after protesting against the conflict between general crime prisoners and political prisoners, and had been returned from Rajai Shahr prison due to defects in documents, after being kept in an undecided condition in the quarantine of these two prisons for 15 days, finally was transferred to Hall 12 of political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison. Mr. Moezi has no good health condition and because of his disease he has “continuous bleeding” in his intestine.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News in Iran (HRANA), Ali Moezi, political prisoner was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison and was held in the quarantine ward of this prison last Monday.
It is to mention that in Hall 10 of ward 8 of Evin prison, following a tension and conflict between political and ordinary prisoners, Behnam Mosivand was beaten and was wounded in the head. On the other hand, Ali Moezi the other political prisoner in this ward was exiled to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on the next morning after protesting against the ward officials.
After being exiled to Rajai Shahr prison, he had been returned due to defects in documents, and was transferred to quarantine of ward 4 of this prison. He was held in the quarantines of the two prisons of Evin and Rajai Shahr, during these 15 days.
A close source to this political prisoner told HRANA’s reporter: “When Mr. Moezi was exiled to Rajai Shahr prison, the prison officials said that the exile order letter must had been signed by the Prosecutor and Head of Enforcement. This is while the letter was signed only by the head of Evin prison and head of the prison’s security.”
Mr. Moezi has no good health condition and because of his intestinal problems he has ongoing bleedings.
Ali Moezi is suffering from bladder tumor, prostate and kidney disease, and he faces officials’ objection for going on leave and or being sent to the hospital for treatment. He has been deprived of medical care, during his time in prison.
Mr. Moezzi who had been imprisoned during 80s, too, was arrested in autumn 2007 and sentenced to two years in prison and conditional 3 years in prison. He was released after two years from Rajaei Shahr prison, and again imprisoned in June 2011.
Another informed source told HRANA, “Ali Moezzi was transferred to the hospital for his bladder problem and was supposed to start treatment of his kidney but the new case was opened and he was sent to solitary confinement and after that prison authorities refuse to send him to hospital again.”
Ali Moezzi was sentenced to 4 years in prison on charge of advocacy of MEK. Before opening the new case he should had been released in April 2015. He was sentenced in branch number 15 of revolutionary court to one year in prison.
Need to be mentioned this prisoner never had furlough during more than 4 years of his imprisonment.
