Aso Rostami and Behnam Mosivand in Poor Health Condition

HRANA News Agency – On December 27, Behnam Mosivand was prevented from being transferred to the hospital, due to not wearing “infected” prison clothes, handcuffs and shackls, in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. Due to his intestinal problems, he was going to have a surgery. Also Aso Rostami was transferred to the clinic of prison due to breathing problems and unconsciousness.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on December 27, Behnam Mosivand was prevented from being transferred to the hospital, due to not wearing “infected” prison clothes, handcuffs and shackles in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. Due to his intestinal problems, he was going to have surgery.
Mr. Mosivand suffers from intestinal problems and despite the licensing by prosecutor and having a surgery time, he was not sent to the hospital.
It is worth noting Behnam Mosivand, sick political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison was beaten and harassed with handcuffs and shackles, while he was being sent to the hospital on wheelchair because of not wearing the prison uniform on December 12. Although he eventually was sent to the hospital but he was returned to prison again without receiving the necessary medical services.
It is worth mentioning that Behnam Mosivand, civil rights activist, who was sentenced to 1 year in prison along with Arash Sadeghi, Golrokh Irai and Navid Kamrani in one case, summited himself to the prison on June 12 in order to serve his three years sentence, due to fact that his conditional 2 years in prison came into effect, after his newest case. He was transferred to hall number 10 of ward number 8 of Evin prison.
Also, Aso Rostami was transferred to the clinic of prison due to breathing problems and unconsciousness in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on December 27.
Aso Rostami, civil rights activist was arrested at his house to serve his sentence of 2 years on December 3, and then was transferred to Evin prison. HE was transferred Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on December 6.
It should be noted, Aso Rostami’s mother after reporting the arrest of her son was threatened on the phone by the security agency.
It should be noted, civil rights activist Aso Rostami had been arrested along with several other civil society activists on October 8, 2015 after holding a rally in front of UN office in support of Kobani, and after interrogation and being held in the solitary confinement was transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison.
Due to his peaceful civic activism, on the charges of propaganda against the regime, assembly and collusion against the national security and insulting the supreme leader he was sentenced to 7 years in prison. His trial was held along with 3 other civil society activists in Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh and eventually these people were sentenced to a total of 38 years in prison.
