HRANA News Agency  –Baha’is living in Iran are deprived of their basic human and civil rights due to their religious believe. Discrimination, demonizing, enmity, prejudice, hatred, persecution, murder and imprisonment are to name some forms of anti-Baha’i in Iran. Currently there are many Baha’I citizens imprisoned across the country. The following focuses on the imprisoned Baha’is in the province of Tehran and Alborz as one of the provinces with the highest number of Baha’is’ detention.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), currently at least 25 Baha’i citizens are enduring multiple bans and total of 160 years of imprisonment in prisons across province of Tehran and Alborz. Habib Sasanian Deprived of Medical Treatment in Tabriz Prison

HRANA News Agency – Habib Sasanian, Ardabili poet, despite his illness and lack of proper treatment, is still being held in Tabriz Central Prison. After about a year of uncertainty, a bail of one billion IRR was issued for this prisoner, but as he is not able to provide it, he has to stay in detention.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Habib Sasanian was arrested along with five Turk (Azeri) activists in Ardabil, on May 15, 2016. In July last year, the Chief Justice of East Azerbaijan introduced these activists as “members of 6-member Gamow spying gang”. HRANA News Agency – Jahandar Mohammadi, political prisoner was released from Sanandaj Central Prison, after eleven years of imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Jahandar Mohammadi, political prisoner, had been arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in Tehran, in April 2006 and was released from ward eight of Sanandaj Central Prison, on February 23, according to the “aggregation of crime and the application of Article 134”. At Least 8 Prisoners Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – At least eight prisoners charged with “murder” were executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. It is to say that, two other prisoners were executed in Tabriz Central Prison and one prisoner in Adel Abad prison, in Shiraz, on similar charges.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), at least 14 prisoners charged with murder had been transferred to solitary confinement in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, on April 16, 2017, and at least eight of them were executed in this prison, on April 18. HRANA News Agency – A prisoner was executed in Brojerd prison on charge of murder. This execution led to tribal tensions and violence in his village. Also, recently one prisoner in Bandar Abbas, two in Tabriz Central Prison, and one prisoner in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz, and at least 8 prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, were executed.
