Habib Sasanian Deprived of Medical Treatment in Tabriz Prison
HRANA News Agency – Habib Sasanian, Ardabili poet, despite his illness and lack of proper treatment, is still being held in Tabriz Central Prison. After about a year of uncertainty, a bail of one billion IRR was issued for this prisoner, but as he is not able to provide it, he has to stay in detention.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Habib Sasanian was arrested along with five Turk (Azeri) activists in Ardabil, on May 15, 2016. In July last year, the Chief Justice of East Azerbaijan introduced these activists as “members of 6-member Gamow spying gang”. Habib Sasanian Transferred to a Hospital in Tabriz
HRANA News Agency – On February 4, 2017, Habib Sasanian, jailed poet from Ardabil in Tabriz prison was transferred to Sina hospital. Mr. Sasanian has been held on security charges in the prison since 8 months ago.

The Latest Status of 6 Detained Civil Rights Activists
HRANA News Agency – Approximately one month since 6 Turk (Azeri) activists have been arrested, Habib Sasanian has stated in a short phone call with his family that he was being kept in the intelligence centre. Dr. Esmail Afkhami, other detainee of this group has been transferred to central prison of Tabriz. But still there is no information about the fate of other 4.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), about a month ago, Habib Sasanian (Yakamouz), along with other activists, Dr. Esmail Afkhami, Mehdi Javanzadeh, Hamid Saghafi, Babak Avand and Younes Rahimi, who were all active in the issue of Ghareh-Bagh and Armenia, were arrested and transferred to an unknown location.
