HRANA News Agency – Narges Mohammadi, prisoner of conscience, ended her hunger strike on its twentieth day, as she achieved her demand. She had had objected to the lack of access to contact her children and finally had a phone call with her children.

Violent Clashed Between the Civilians and Police in Asaluyeh

HRANA News Agency – Following the death of a sailor because of being suspicious of unloading smuggled goods by the police, a group of protesters by attacking a police vehicle burned it in front of Dakhl Taqi hospital in Asaluyeh and clashed with security forces during which several other civilians were wounded. Bushehr province police chief says the situation is under control.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on July 6, a young sailor named “Khalil Bagheri” was killed by Police in Bushehr. A group of angry people saw the incident and clashed with the police in front of the hospital in Asaluyeh during which a number of civilians were wounded, at least one police car was set on fire. Tehran Prosecutor’s Reaction to HRANA’s Report about Nader Dastanpoor’s Death in Detention

HRANA News Agency – Abbas Jafari Dolat Abadi reacted in a meeting with the deputy prosecutor of Tehran to HRANA’s report about Nader Dastanpoor’s death caused by tortures during detention and lack of medical care. He emphasized the need for detention sensitivity of the supervisors and while confirming the death of Dastanpoor in detention of Narmak police station, announced that the detention of suspects in police stations is “contrary to the principles” and it is necessary and also short-term. He said: “After being arrested, the inmate must be delivered to the prison.”
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), in ISNA’s report of July 11 about session of the deputies of General and Revolutionary Court of Tehran, Jafari Dolat Abadi pointed also to the necessity of monitoring supervisors of detention. Shima Babi Summoned to Ministry of Intelligence

HRANA News Agency – On July 12, Shima Babai, civil rights activist who is free on the bail until her trial was summoned to “the office of the ministry of intelligence” to be there on Wednesday, July 13, by phone. The activist has been summoned for the fourth time after being released.

HRANA News Agency – Saeed Husseinzadeh Movahed, civil rights activist who was on medical furlough, was arrested and transferred to Evin prison on July 11 after showing up at Tehran Prosecutor’s office. He had gone there to to provide medical records to extend his furlough.

4 Arab Civilians Arrested in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – Younes Alsorkhy, Adnan Bayanat, Harbi Alsary and Mustafa Obaidavi, four Arab civilians from Ahvaz have been arrested on Monday, July 4, 2016 and transferred to an unknown location. Probably their detention was due to calling for cleaning a street in the city for Eid al-Fitr prayers.

“We Are Waiting for the Permission to Review the Case”: Mohammad Ali Taheri’s Lawyer

HRANA News Agency – Mahmood Alizadeh, Mohammad Ali Taheri’s attorney said that he had heard that in a new lawsuit, insulting the profit was added to his charges but he did not have access to the case to review it. Security Forces Destroy Bahai Cemetery in Qorveh, Arresting 1 Bahai

HRANA News Agency – Law enforcement agents in Kurdistan province have demolished a Golestan Javid (a Bahai cemetery), uprooted over three hundred 20-year-old trees, destroying the buildings used for prayers and for washing the bodies before burial, and even destroying some coffins. The destruction apparently took place at 5 a.m. on July 14.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Law enforcement agents later summoned one local Bahai, Mr. Khalil Eqdameyan, to the Kurdistan Province Judiciary. A Persian source, Bazdasht, reports that when he answered the summons, he was detained for several hours and then released on bail. He had followed up the destruction of the cemetery in enquiries to the security forces, who referred him to the Department of Agricultural Development (Agricultural Jihad).
