A Juvenile Offender Executed in Bushehr

HRANA News Agency – Ali Kazemi, a prisoner who had been sentenced to death at the age of 15 when he was charged with murder, was executed in Bushehr Prison, at noon on December 31. It is said that the prisoner was alive for an hour after the verdict was executed and he eventually died in the hospital.

At Least 300 Detainees of Recent Protests Will Be Put on Trial

HRANA News Agency- According to official sources, at least 3,700 individuals were arrested in the protests that happened in dozens of cities in Iran. In a recent report to the President on recent events, the Interior Minister has reported that at least 300 protesters were charged in the court and are still in temporary custody.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the scope of the recent protests was drawn to more than 80 cities in Iran, according to a governmental source; at least 3,700 Iranian citizens were arrested during these protests. The List of 39 Prisoners of Ward 7 of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The following list is the names of prisoners in different halls in ward number 7 of Evin prison who are detained and imprisoned with charges like “being in contact with conflicting governments” and “espionage”. Themajority of them has rejected the accusations and consider them to have political motives.

Two Detained Students Transferred to Orumieh Prison

HRANA News Agency – Ebrahim Moradi and Matin Khaledi are two students who were arrested in January protests and transferred to the Orumieh prison after completing the interrogation process. They have been charged with spreading propaganda against the regime and are currently being held at the Youth Ward of the Central Prison of Orumieh.

Shahin Zoghitabar Released after Serving 5 Years

HRANA News Agency – Shahin Zoghitabar, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, who had previously been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment on charges of gathering and collusion, was released by the end of his term of imprisonment.

Golrokh Irai and Atena Daemi Beaten and Exiled to Garchak Prison

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, human rights activist in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, has gone on hunger strike on January 27, 2018, following his wife, Golrokh Irai and Atena Daemi were beaten and exiled. He has gone on hunger strike while he is suffering from severe illness and physical weakness.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Golrokh Irai and Atena Daemi were beaten in Evin prison and exiled to Garchak prison in Varamin on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. The Complicated Situation of Zahedan Central Prison Narrated by Witnesses

HRANA News Agency – Mismanagement in Zahedan Central Prison, administrative corruption and intervention of inviolable institutions in the internal affairs of the prison have led to the creation of a complicated situation in this prison that has its effect on the daily lives of thousands of prisoners. The high level of uncertainty in the prison, the failure to address the specific situation of patients, punishments and physical and mental ill-treatment, poor quality of food products, failure to address detention requests, the presence of bulk drugs in prison and the lack of effective work are a part of the problem of prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the statistics are higher than available capacity, for example, the number of residents in ward 7 is 650, while the capacity of the beds is one-fourth of the number. In such a situation, the recent destruction of the two wards of the prison has caused about 300 people be added to other wards of the prison. Protesting Prisoners of Rajai Shahr Prison Threatened by Prison Guards

HRANA News Agency – After three weeks of constant protest of the political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj by refusing to receive food rations, on January 16, 2018, the prison guards went to the hall and claimed that they had intervened at the behest of the head of the Prisons Organization of Tehran Province to end the protest. The forces following inspection and creating fear and panic, threatened that the political prisoners would be exiled to dangerous and violent wards, if they would continue the protest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 22 days after the beginning of the protest of the political prisoners in the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj by refusing to receive food rations, there is still no change in the conditions of this place despite the promises of the prosecutor’s representative to improve the situation. Majid Asadi, Payam Shakiba and Mohammad Amirkhizi Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency _ Majid Asadi, Payam Shakiba, two former student activists and Mohammad Banazadeh Amirkhzai have been sentenced to 28 years imprisonment and four years in exile by Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), three political prisoners have been detained since last year and gave their latest defences to Branch 6 of the Evin Prison on July 12, 2017. According to the verdict of Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Ahmadzadeh, they have been sentenced to 28 years of imprisonment for acting against the national security through gathering, collusion and propaganda against the regime.
