428 Boys & Girls Under 15 Married in Golestan

HRANA News Agency – The Director of Civil Registry in Golestan Province has announced that from March to August 2011, there have been 11,198 marriages registered in this province.Among these nuptials, there were 14 boys under 15 years of age, 414 girls under 14, and two children under 10.

According to a report by Mehr News Agency, Seifollah Abutoraby added, “There have been 15,327 births registered in Golestan Province compared to the same period of time last year when 14,880 births recorded, showing 3% growth.This total includes 7,955 boys and 7,327 girls, giving a ratio of 108 males to every 100 females.”

The Director of Civil Registry in Golestan Province reiterated, “According to the law, births must be registered within 15 days.Since 99% of all births are normally registered within 10 to 15 days, people are doing what is expected of them and obeying the law.If parents fail to register the birth of their child within the allotted time, they will be prosecuted.”

Seifollah Abutoraby said, “From the total number of registered births, there are 44.8% births in urban areas and 55.2% in rural regions.”

The Director of Civil Registry in Golestan Province added, “Death statistics indicate that from March to August 2011, there were 10,229 deaths registered.From this total, 6,840 deaths occurred prior to this period of time.Since the beginning of the current [Persian] year, there have been 3,389 deaths.Comparably, there were 3,418 deaths last year during the same period of time.Death statistics by gender include 57% men and 43% women.”

Seifollah Abutoraby pointed out, “Marriage and divorce statistics during the first five months of the current [Persian] year included 1,129 divorces with 81% of divorced women under 30 years of age.”

 

Jalal Eghdami: We Requested a Meeting with the Attorney General Yet There is No Reply

HRANA- The family of political prisoner Jafar Eghdami, currently on hunger strike along with sixteen other prisoners from ward 350 of Evin prison since July 26th, states that there has been no news regarding his condition.

In a conversation with Human Rights Activist in Iran News Agency (HRANA), the political prisoner’s brother explained, “It has been two weeks since we have heard any news regarding Jafar and our request for a meeting with the attorney general has gone unanswered.”

Baha’i Farmland Confiscated

May 27, 2010

HRANA – In April 2010, the Lands and Assets Headquarters of Mazandaran, A Division of Sepah (the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), based on the Imam’s Decree, confiscated five thousand meters of land in Ghaemshahr that belonged to the late Mr. Ahmad Ahmadzadeh. The confiscation took place while the heirs of the deceased were using the land for farming.

Three Prisoners Hanged in Isfahan, Iran

HRANA News Agency– Three prisoners convicted of drug trafficking hanged in Isfahan’s Central Prison.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from IRIB New, local prosecuting attorney informed these three prisoners were convicted of holding and distributing 250 Kg of different drugs such as: Heroin, Crack, Morphine and Opium.

“The death sentence of a prisoner convicted of rape has been confirmed by the Supreme Court and he will be executed soon.” He added.

Two Kurds from Salmas have been shot by police

HRANA News Agency – The Iranian police shot two Kurds from Salmas and injured them.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), On midnight of January 28th of 2013 a car of Kurish citizens in Zanjan-Tabriz highway has been shot by police directly and two of the passengers injured.
Due to the report, Kamran Abdouie and Senar Abdouie from Katban village belongs to Salmas have been injured strongly. Kamran has injured from leg and Senar from belly, also Senar’s condition is critical.
The injured Kurds have been transferred to Tabriz hospital and they are under the security protection and their families are not allowed to visit them.
Senar and Kamran are accused to neglected stop warn of the polices..

Uncertain situation of seven Baha’i detainees in Rajaie Shahr prison

HRANA News Agency – After two months of transferring and detention of seven Baha’i citizenس from Golestan province, still the detainees are in temporal detention and their situation is uncertain.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after a lot of following up and haunt to Tehran and revolutionary court for provisional release by bail, their families have not succeeded.
The court officials passing the case to revolutionary court and the court is passing back to them. Also their lawyers could not able to visit their clients.
After the interrogation sessions of these seven Baha’is in Evin prison, they have been transferred to Rajaie Shahr prison while no trial formed for them and they have not been sentenced yet.
The families of these detainees have to travel frequently to Tehran and Karaj from their hometowns for visiting the prisoners and following up their situation.
Mr. Kourosh Zyari, one the seven detainees has serious injury on his leg and even until a week before detention, was not able to walk. Despite of his family’s following ups still he has not got any treatment or medical furlough from the prison officials or the other relevant officials.
Farahmand Sanaie, Farhad Fahandezh,Kamal Kashani, Payam Markazim ,Siamak Sadri and Foad Fahandezh are the other detainees who are currently in hall 12th of ward 4th in Rajaie Shahr prison.

HRANA News Agency – Ali Dehghan, the economic columnist arrested by  security forces on charge of connection with some subversive sides.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from Bulletin News, Dehghan worked with reformist newspapers such as Shargh, Bahar, E’temad, Vaghaye’ Etefaghiyeh and also ILNA News Agency in the past.

Fingers of a prisoner amputated in Sari prison

HRANA News Agency – The fingers of a prisoner who is charged to robbery, amputated.
According to a report by Fars news, Asadollah Ja’fari confirmed the amputation verdict enforcement of four fingers of a prisoner on charge of robbery. Also Ja’fari claimed that this robber had done many robberies.

A teacher has been detained in Oshnawiyah


HRANA News Agency – A Kurdish teacher from Oshnawiyah has been detained by security forces.
According to the reports by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from Moukerian News Agency, Azad Rasoulnezhad, teacher and International law student of Maragheh university has been called by the preservation department of education of Oshnawiyah, after his presence at this office, he has been arrested and transferred to the detention center of local intelligence office.
