HRANA News Agency – Iranian regime has executed 33 prisoners within the last 12 days of 2012, most of them are unreported.
According to the reports by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Iranian regime has executed 33 prisoners across Iran within 12 days: one prisoner in Sari, convicted of drug trafficking, five public execution of prisoners convicted of rape in Yasouj, one Afghan citizen convicted of drug trafficking in Damghan, four prisoners convicted of rape in Yazd, at least two prisoners convicted of rape in Urmia, four prisoners convicted of drug trafficking in Ghezelhesar Prison, six Salafi prisoners convicted of assassination, 10 prisoners convicted of drug trafficking in Taybad.

HRANA News Agency – Saeed Abedini, a 32-year-old Iranian who is a U.S. citizen and a Christian convert has been imprisoned without notice of any formal charges while visiting his family in Iran.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), The Rev. Saeed Abedini, is currently awaiting trial at Iran’s notoriously brutal Evin Prison, where he has been incarcerated since late September.

HRANA News Agency – Abdolfattah Soltani, Iranian imprisoned lawyer, suffering from Sickle-cell disease was transferred to Sina hospital.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abdolfattah Soltani, Iranian imprisoned lawyer, serving his 13 year in prison sentence and suffering from Sickle-cell disease and complications in his digestive system, has reportedly been transferred to Sina Hospital in Tehran for treatment on Tuesday December 18.

HRANA News Agency – Iranian Kurdish political prisoner, Saman Nasim (Na’im), from Marivan who has been arrested in 2011, was sentenced to death by Mahabad’s revolutionary court.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim was arrested in July 2011 near Iran’s border in Western Azerbaijan province by security forces. His charge is Moharebeh (Enmity against God) via being a member of anti-regime groups. Nasim (Na’im) was sentenced to death by the branch one of Mahabad’s revolutionary court.
HRANA News Agency – On Sunday, October 23, 2011, the environmentalist Veria Khosravi was arrested in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Provience.Veria Khosravi is a member of Green Society of Kurdistan.
According to a report by Mukrian News Agency, security agents raided Veria Khosravi’s house and seized several items including a computer.It is not known why this environmentalist has been arrested, and the authorities in the city of Sanandaj have not released any information related to this arrest.
HRANA News Agency – Payman Roshan-Zamir, a blogger and political activist, has been sentenced to seventeen months in prison by Judge Barani presiding over the Revolutionary Court, Branch 3, in the city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan Province.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), citing Articles 500 and 514 from the Islamic Penal Code, Judge Barani sentenced Payman Roshan-Zamir to seventeen months in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime and insulting the Supreme Leader of Iran.
Payman Roshan-Zamir was arrested in the winter of 2011 in the city of Ahvaz and after spending two months in Karoon Prison was released on bail.
HRANA News Agency – All the merchants and shopkeepers in the Kurdish city of Javanroud in Kermanshah Province are on strike after a well-known local store owner was abducted and murdered this week.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abdullah Visi was abducted by unidentified individuals on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, around 3:00pm while he was heading home after work.On the same day, this merchant’s jewelry store was also robbed by unknown individuals.Abdullah Visi was well known and respected for his charitable and benevolent donations in the city of Javanroud.
For three days following his abduction, Abdullah Visi’s family didn’t know his whereabouts and had absolutely no news of him.On Friday, July 6, 2011, Abdullah Visi’s body was found in Kachal-Ava region near the city of Javanroud.
On Saturday, July 7, 2011, the merchants and shopkeepers of the Javanroud bazaar in a coordinated effort began a strike to protest against this city’s police force neglecting the security and safety of its citizens and failing to investigate the abduction of Abdullah Visi.
As this report is being released, the border bazaar and the majority of stores around the city of Javanroud are closed.
Abdullah Visi’s funeral was held this morning at 9:30am while thousands of people from Javanroud and the outlining areas gathered in the city mosque for the procession to the cemetery.The attendees demanded that Javanroud officials take immediate action to investigate this crime.
HRANA News Agency – Evin Prison officials have refused to provide medical care to Kourosh Kuhkan, a political prisoner reported to be in critical condition.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Kourosh Kuhkan’s knee is severely infected such that if he doesn’t receive immediate medical attention, he might lose his leg entirely.
Iranian intelligence agents injured Kourosh Kuhkan’s knee during interrogations.After 17 months following this injury and repeated requests from him and his family, Kourosh Kuhkan was transferred to Taleghani Hospital to undergo a surgery after which he was locked up in Evin Prison again without any medical care or access to health care facilities.
Kourosh Kuhkan was tried at the Revolutionary Court, Branch 26, and sentenced by Judge Peerabasi to three years and six months in prison and 74 lashes.Kourosh Kuhkan is currently serving his sentence at Evin Prison in Ward 350.

HRANA News Agency – Yesterday, a Kurdish woman named Tyran Mamedi Ghazl Kond committed suicide by setting herself on fire.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Tyran Mamedi Ghazl Kond, daughter of Majid, was married and lived in Ashnak village in Salmas County [West Azerbaijan Province]. She died of serious injuries caused by self-immolation. It has been reported that she committed suicide because of family problems and disputes.
It must be noted that lack of social and cultural infrastructures in disadvantaged and underprivileged parts of the country brings about such tragedies, and each year, numerous cases of suicide and self-immolation especially amongst women are reported from these regions.
