HRANA News Agency – The death sentence of Saman Nasim, political prisoner who was arrested at the age of 16 and sentenced to death in a judicial process full of ambiguity, has been reduced to 5 years of imprisonment after years of legal follow up. Considering the time of Mr. Nasim’s imprisonment, his lawyer says, this prisoner will be released soon.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Saman Nasim was finally sentenced to five years imprisonment solely on charge of membership in a political opposition party (PJAK), and was acquitted of “Moharebeh” and armed action charges. The List of Death Row Prisoners Charged with Muharebeh
HRANA News Agency – The prisoners who have been convicted on charges of Muharebeh under the old law, have the possibility of a retrial, commutation of their sentences or being released, with regard to the changes on these kinds of charges in the IPC. At the moment, dozens of prisoners, including at least twenty-four male prisoners in Iran prisons have been sentenced to death on charge Muharebeh. The current below is the sixth list of the series of “Prisoners accused of Muharebeh” about these 24 imprisoned men.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), there are at least twenty four male death row prisoners who have been charged with Muharebeh, in different ways, are being held in Iran prisons. Sirvan Nazhavi, Kurdish Political Prisoner Executed in Tabriz Prison
HRANA News Agency – Sirvan Nazhavi, political prisoner, was hanged in the prison of Tabriz.
Hossein Nazhavi, Sirvan Nazhavi’s brother, after announcing this news in an interview with HRANA’s reporter said that during a contact by the prison authorities they had been asked to collect his brother’s body from Tabriz prison, on Sunday afternoon 8th August. No Information About 5 Death Row Prisoners After A Month
HRANA News Agency – There is no news about the faith of Saman Nasim and five other prisoners of Uremia prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim, Sirvan Naxhavi, Ibrahim Shapouri, Ali Afshari, Habibolah Afshari and Younes Aghayan were transferred to an unknown location from ward number 12 of Uremia prison in order to be executed, during last February. Saman Nasim’s Attorney Has no Access to his Case
HRANA News Agency – Attorney of Saman Nasim, a young man who was under age when was arrested and sentenced to death and his sentence was approved by the Supreme Court, is not allowed to pursue his case.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim was under age at time of arrest and was charged with Enmity against God and has been sentenced to death and the court verdict was approved by the Supreme Court. Indifference of prison authorities to prisoners’ on-going hunger strike
HRANA News Agency – Even 16 days after the hunger strike of 28 Political Prisoners at Urmieh Central Prison (Darya) and concerning health condition of some strikers, the prison authorities are committed to ignore their demands.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), since 20 November 2014, 29 Political Prisoners incarcerated at Ward 12 of Urmieh Central Prison have started an indefinite hunger strike in protest at the neglect of Separation of Crimes and other issues with their union. Hunger strike at Uremia prison goes on
HRANA News Agency – The hunger strike of 29 political prisoners in central prison of Uremia has continued for its ninth day and one prisoner was transferred to Mahabad prison.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), prison authorities transferred Mansour Arvand, the prisoner who has sentenced to death and is on hunger strike along with 28 other political prisoners, to Mahabad without any previous note, on Saturday November 29. Three Kurds are in danger of Imminent execution
HRANA News Agency – Execution verdict of three Kurds confirmed and enforcement verdicts’ section of Oroumiyeh prison received the verdicts which increased worries about their imminent execution.
Ibrahim Isapour, Semko Nezhavi and Saman Nasim are the three Kurds in Oroumiyeh prison who sentenced to death and after the confirmation by supreme court they’re in danger of imminent execution.

A Kurd who sentenced to death transferred to Oroumiyeh prison
HRANA News Agency – Saman Nasim, the political prisoner who sentenced to death who was imprisoned in Mahabad prison, has been transferred on Saturday February 17th of 2013 to Oroumiyeh prison.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim, a Kurd from Marivan arrested in July of 2011 and sentenced to death by Mahabad revolutionary court.
There is no news why this political prison transferred to Oroumiyeh prison.
Saman Nasim’s trial was in branch 1 of Mahabad revolutionary court and sentenced to death on charge of enmity against god by membership in one of the subversives Kurdish political parties.
Transferring Nasim to Oroumiyeh prison increased worries around the execution verdict enforcement
