HRANA – Evin prison’s authorities prevented the political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi Maleki from sending letters to his lawyer and to Tehran’s prosecutor.
According to the reporters of Iranian Human Rights Activists Agency, this political prisoner who was sentenced illegally to 15 years in prison by Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court and the verdict has been confirmed by Branch 54 of the Appeals Court, did not meet with his lawyer “Mohammed Ali Dadkhah” but once on July 13th.
HRANA – In the early hours of Saturday, May 29th, an Afghan resident was hanged in Isfahan prison.
HRANA News Agency – The intelligence officers called prisoner of Karaj-Rajaie Shahr prison Reza Sharifi Bukani today at 9:30 in the morning and transferred him to an unknown location.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Activists Agency reporters, Reza Sharifi Bukani prisoners incarcerated in Rajaie Shahr prison was transferred today by security and intelligence forces from Karaj-Rajaie Shahr prison to an undisclosed location, there is no farther news about him as of the time of reporting this news.
Reza Sharifi Bukani was under several physical and psychological torture during the time of his detention, and despite the completion of his interrogation he has been under intense pressure for TV confession.
Must mention that Tehran prosecutor opposed any bail for him and kept him in detention, beside the judiciary system provided no clear answer on this vague point of having this prisoner tried on two separate cases at the same time.

HRANA – In the early morning hours of Monday, May 24th, five prisoners were executed by judicial authorities in Rasht prison.
According to Human Rights and Democracy Activists, the five prisoners, one of whom was a woman, were hanged behind the clinic at Rasht prison.
There is currently no information available on the identities of the five prisoners or the charges against them.
Interestingly, although several days have passed since the execution of these five prisoners, the Judiciary and state run media have remained mum on the matter and have thus far declined to publish any reports about these executions.
HRANA –In the evening of September 16th 2010 Mr. Abolfazl Abedini Nasr, the journalist and human rights activist was beaten up in the worst form in Karoon jail of Ahwaz city.
According to the report by HRANA, in this incident an individual named “Ghalandari” the jail staff member, attacked Mr. Abolfazl Abedini and severely harmed him physically. While awaiting in the yard of section 6 of the jail in order to use the bath-room, Mr. Abolfazl Abedini was attacked by the said individual without any excuse. While having tied up his hands and legs with handcuff and chains to a rod in the yard of section 6, Mr. Abolfazl Abedini was beaten up for hours with a green rod. Due to the severity of the blows, Mr. Abedini’s hands and legs are blued and blacked. None of the authorities of Karoon jail take responsibility in answering for the incident.

HRANA – Following dertermining the amount of bail to be posted for setting Mr. Heshmatollah Tabarzadi, the political activist who is being held in jail by the ministry of intelligence free, while opposing to free him, the ministry of intelligence barred the revolutionay court from accepting bail for him.
Accroding to HRANA reporters, this is while judge Pirabbasi, head of branch 26 of the revolutionary court who is in charge of prosecuting Mr. Heshmatoolah Tabarzadi, had requested for 200 million tooman (approx. $200,000.00) bail for his release. When Mr. Tabrzadi’s son referred to the judge, the judge informed him of valedication of bail and stated that setting bail is not in the jurisdiction of the revolutionay court.
It is more than eight months that Mr. Heshmatollah Tabarzadi who is in jail and exile in Rajaie Shahr of Karaj, has been awaiting to be prosecuted.
HRANA – Despite the fact that the vision of Ayatollah Kazemaini Boroujerdi is in serious danger, the authorities prevent him from being transferred to a hospital.
According to HRANA reports , as a result of mistreatment and having been kept in contaminated environment for the past four years, Ayatollah Boroujerdi is severely suffering from illness in his right eye.
According to a physician from Evin prison who examined Boroujerdi last week, he confirmed due to detachment of retina he has lost 80% of his vision .
The physician warned that the detachment of retina will not get cured by itself or by medicines and that the only effective solution is through surgery. Therefore, in accordance to ophthalmology, this is a case of urgency and that he has to be hospitalized in an equipped hospital.
The authorities of special court for spirituals “Rohaniyat” have been denying Boroujerdi from medical treatments and even provent his family access to his medical file.
Recently, the authorities have stated to his close relatives that unless Mr. Boroujerdi “does not stop advertising against the regime, his condition will remain unchanged.”
HRANA – Four Oroomiyeh citizens who have been detained by intelligence forces since eight months ago, are in pending situation and their relatives are concerned about their condition.
According to HRANA reporters, eight months ago Kamel Shablooie, Bashir Chartaagh, and Behrooz Aalkhani from Salmas and Akbar Akbarloo from Khoy city, were detained and were charged with “Activities Against the National Security”.
HRANA- Hamed Rouhinejad was exiled from Evin Prison to Zanjan Prison last night.
HRANA has learned that this ruling was implemented under the cover of night by officials without the notification of his family or attorney.
Accused of membership in an anti-government organization, Hamed Rouhinejad a student majoring in philosophy, has been in prison since April 2009. He was sentenced to death in the post election group show trials. His sentence was later changed to ten years in prison and exile to Zanjan Prison.
Although Hamed Rouhinejad suffers from multiple sclerosis he has been denied even one day of medical leave. A lack of proper medical attention has resulted in parts of his body becoming paralyzed.
His exile comes at a time where he requires special medical attention by specialists in a hospital facility outside prison. Although Evin Prison is equipped with better medical facilities than other prisons in the country, Hamed Rouhinejad’s condition has been deteriorating day by day. He has lost much of his eyesight and one of his hands has become completely paralyzed.
It is important to note that repeated requests by this political prisoner’s family for medical leave have gone unanswered. Hamed Rouhinejad’s father has been faced with insults and humiliation when meeting with officials regarding this matter.
