2 Political Prisoners on Hunger Strike in Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Ebraham Firuzi, a Christian convert and Arash Moghadam Aslanpour, cultural activists, have gone on hunger strike since last Thursday in protest against the failure to respect the principle of separation of prisoners on the basis of their crimes.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ebrahim Firuzi and Arash Aslanpour (Arash Eshai), who are held in ward 10 of Rajai Shahr prison, along with apolitical and sometimes dangerous prisoners, after writing a letter addressed to the head of the prison and after it was neglected by him, from Thursday 20th August went on hunger strike. They have asked the prison authorities, accordant with the law to transfer them to Hall 12, political and conscience prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr prison. HRANA News Agency – Two political prisoners named; “Javad Qanbar” and “Majid Matin” were transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison, during the last days.
