HRANA News Agency – Narges Mohammadi, prisoner of conscience, ended her hunger strike on its twentieth day, as she achieved her demand. She had had objected to the lack of access to contact her children and finally had a phone call with her children.

Shima Babi Summoned to Ministry of Intelligence

HRANA News Agency – On July 12, Shima Babai, civil rights activist who is free on the bail until her trial was summoned to “the office of the ministry of intelligence” to be there on Wednesday, July 13, by phone. The activist has been summoned for the fourth time after being released.

Narges Mohammadi Transferred to the Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Fatemeh Musana, a former political prisoner in the 1980s, was arrested in 2011 again and along with her husband was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. His three brothers were executed in the 1980s and while she was only 13 years old, she was in prison for 2 years along with her mother in the first decade of the Islamic Republic.

Officials Disagree with Narges Mohammadi’s Demand

HRANA News Agency – On July 1, the Deputy Prosecutor of Tehran told in the meeting with Narges Mohammadi, who has gone on hunger strike to protest to denial of telephone contact with her children that the security officials disagree with the phone call on. The imprisoned human rights activist need to take medicine to control diseases and continue the hunger strike will be unpleasant consequences.

Maryam Naghash Zargaran Returned to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Maryam Naghash Zargaran (also known as Nasim), an imprisoned Christian convert, who had been released on medical leave, went back to Evin prison midway through her treatment as attorney general refused to extend her furlough and threatened to confiscate the bail collateral.

Maryam was granted medical leave on June 6, marking her 11th day of hunger strike. She was forced to interrupt her treatment and head back to Evin prison right after attorney general refused to extend her leave and threatened to confiscate the bail collateral of 3,500,000,000 IRR.
