Evin prison’s authorities prevented the political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi Maleki from sending letters to his lawyer and to Tehran’s prosecutor.

HRANA – Evin prison’s authorities prevented the political prisoner Hossein Ronaghi Maleki from sending letters to his lawyer and to Tehran’s prosecutor.

According to the reporters of Iranian Human Rights Activists Agency, this political prisoner who was sentenced illegally to 15 years in prison by Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court and the verdict has been confirmed by Branch 54 of the Appeals Court, did not meet with his lawyer “Mohammed Ali Dadkhah” but once on July 13th.

The prison’s authorities prevent this political prisoner’s letters to be given to his lawyer and to Tehran’s prosecutor. The family of this political prisoner rejected the accusations and the content in the Kayhan newspaper calling it pure lies during their last meeting with the Tehran prosecutor. However the prosecutor denied any publication of articles or news about Hossein Ronaghi Maleki in Kayhan newspaper during that meeting. 

It should be mentioned that the family of the political prisoner described his mental health in good condition.

Hossein Ronaghi Maleki spent one year in solitary confinement under physical and psychological torture at Ward 2 of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard – Evin prison.
