Five Baha’i citizens receive imprisonment sentences

HRANA News Agency – Khorasan-e-Razavi province’s appeal court, has confirmed the sentences of five Baha’i citizens of Mashhad.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 6 months in prison of five Baha’i citizens of Mahshad, with the name of Negar Malekzadeh, Houriyeh Mohseni, Negin Ahmadian, Behnaz Haddad and Arman Mokhtari is confirmed by appeal court of Khorasan-e-Razavi province.

 

According to verdict of appeal court, other six Baha’i citizens were acquitted from the charge of collusion and propaganda against the government; and one person, with the name of Shayan Tafazzoli, sentenced to pay a 300`000T fine.

 

Need to be mentioned, 11 Baha’i were arrested in allegation of establishment of a private exhibition for children`s made handcraft, on winter 2010, which all have been released on bail.
