Football Fans in Tabriz Receive Imprisonment Sentences

HRANA News Agency – Public prosecutor of Tabriz, has accused a number of civilians with disturbing public order in connection with “Tractor Sazi” football team’s matches, and has had sentenced them to imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), each of Jafar Rostami Rad, Kasra Davoodi, Mosa Sodi Moghanloo, Ali Ahmadi Helan, Siamak Saifi, Hossein  Adljoo, Hossein Khaki, Saeed Dadashpoor,Yassin Fathi, Babak Azarnejad, Hossein Firoozi, Mokhtar Tanhaei, Hossein Bayat, Farhad Chavoshi, Alireza Bayat, Saeed Shabani, Yavar Mahmoudpour, Siamak Irani and Sahram Ebrahimi has been sentenced to 3 months and one day imprisonment and 30 lashes, by the branch 104 of the General Court (criminal) in Tabriz city on 4th of February on charges of disturbing public order. The verdicts are suspended for 2 years.
These people had been arrested in 2012 on charge of disturbing public order in connection with the football match between Traktor Sazi and Algeria.
They have been accused with misusing of the matches’ atmosphere to express their social – political demands.
