HRANA News Agency – Six Sunni prisoners in Dizel Abad prison of Kermanshah, who had been on hunger strike some time ago, to protest against their exile to the infected prisoners ward, were again threatened by prison officials with repeating the former procedure. These prisoners say practicing their religion has caused the authorities to react and increase pressure.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), sixth Sunni prisoner in Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah who have been sentenced in separate cases to imprisonment due to their peaceful activities, have faced increasing pressure and harassment in prison.
Omid Khaki, Ahmad Sadeqi, Mohammad Bazani, Yousef Moradi, Abdullah (Kak Bara) Soleimani and Teimur Mirzai are the identities of these prisoners.
A source close to the mentioned detainees told HRANA’s reporter: “These prisoners went on hunger strike in September after they were deported from their ward to the infected prisoners’ ward of Dizel Abad without a specific explanation. The strike continued for a long time and eventually ended with transferring of a number of them. However, in recent days, prison authorities along with the cases’ interrogators went to their ward and threatened those who were out of the infected ward, to re-exile them to this ward and threatened a number of others that are currently in the infected prisoners ward with increasing restrictions”.
This informed source, regarding the reason of increasing pressure, said: “There is no obvious reason, but after the attack that took place in Tehran, the situation became harder for these prisoners, although some of them are serving the last months of imprisonment, but they were told that there would not be any amnesty and leave due to what happened in Tehran. These people act merely on their religious orders, but prison authorities do not accept even their religious rituals”.
Most of these prisoners have been detained in separate cases due to religious propaganda activities and have been convicted of different timing with various charges.

He is now in the general ward of this prison and was sentenced by Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court to 44 months imprisonment.
Mr. Soleimani spent 15 months in solitary confinement at the Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Kermanshah and spent 6 months in Ward 10 of Dizel Abad Prison. The prisoner has 22 months until the end of his imprisonment sentence.
