Hussein Ronaghi Maleki’s Father on Hunger Strike in front of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency –  Ahmed Ronaghi Maleki after the third day of a hunger strike for justice for his sick son Hussein, who is on  the seventh day of his hunger strike in Evin prison, announced in an interview with HRANA that the authorities had intended to kill Hussein. He said also that he was arrested for a few hours in front of Evin prison on April 11, 2016.
Ahmed Ronaghi Maleki announced in an interview with HRANA: “The situation of my son is very serious and needs medical treatment, but no one is taking the responsibility. Today they told me because ‘you spoke to the media we will not free Hussein.’ Did anyone help Hussein when he was in the solitary confinement for 13 months and we didn’t speak?”
Hussein Ronaghi Maleki, human rights activist and blogger, was arrested on December 13, 2009.

Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 15 years in prison on October 5, 2010 after 10 months of detention in ward 2-A of Evin prison. The charges against him in the court were, “membership in the Iran proxy network, insulting the leader and insulting the president.”
The verdict was upheld by Branch 54 of the Appeals Court and Hossein Ronaghi was then transferred to ward 350 of Evin prison.
The prisoner is now held in ward 7 of Evin prison without medical care and in poor conditions.
