No Information about Ali Rezaei after 20 Days of Detention

HRANA News Agency – There is no information about the condition and situation of Ali Rezaei, civil rights activists, who has arrested 20 days ago.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), there is no information about Ali Rezaei who has been arrested at Mehrabad airport on Saturday, February 4 and transferred to an unknown location.
A close source to Ali Rezaei told HRANA’s reporter, “the efforts of Ali Rezaei’s wife and lawyer, Mr. Jafar Afsharnia for find any information about him has been unsuccessful and none of the visits to Shahid Moghadas court, had any result so far. Considering that he is kept is solitary confinement, his wife and mother are concerned about his health and physical condition”.
This source added, “despite the effort of his lawyer, the status of Mr. Rezaei is “under arrest” so his lawyer cannot work on the case”.
This source also mentioned, “Ali Rezaei is a modest Azeri activist and his activities were according to laws and international conventions and merely about the right of studying in mother tongue, restoration of Uremia Lake and inequality of different ethnic groups in Iran. Therefore his arrest is against the constitution and international conventions. We cannot understand how officials gave the right to themselves to keep a civil rights activist in solitary confinement and deprived him from the right of having an attorney”.
