Iran Protests: Aram Gohari Arrested for Second Time

Security forces arrested Aram Gohari again in Miandoab and took him to an undisclosed location. He was previously detained in Urmia amid nationwide protests.

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, former political prisoner Aram Gohari was arrested in Miandoab, West Azerbaijan Province.
An informed source told HRANA that Gohari wanted to give a speech at the commemoration ceremony of one of the killed protestors.
On June 12, 2022, Gohari was released on probation.
His whereabouts and conditions are still unknown.

Since the beginning of nationwide protests, about 19570 people, including journalists, artists, lawyers, teachers, students and civil rights activists, have been arrested. So far, over protests, about 742 people have been sentenced to a total of 12634 months imprisonment.
