Mahmoud Masumi Transferred to Great Prison of Tehran

HRANA News Agency – On June 6, Mahmoud Masumi, student who had been arrested in front of Dena Tire building, was transferred to Great Prison of Tehran (Fashafoyeh), once again. The reason for his transfer to the prison is still unknown.

According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mahmoud Masumi, student who had been arrested in a gathering of the followers of Mohammad Ali Taheri in front of Dena Tire building on Thursday, May 12, was transferred to Great Prison of Tehran (Fashafoyeh), once again.

A close source to his family announced the news and said to HRANA’s reporter: “Mahmoud Masumi contacted his family from Fashafoyeh prison and said he was transferred back there.”

The source continued: “Masumi family were waiting for the judicial authorities to accept the bail for his temporary release. But the reasons for his transfer to Fashafoyeh prison are not know.”

A number of followers of Mohammad Ali Taheri in front of Dena Tire building were arrested on Thursday, May 12. On May 14, Mahmoud Masumi was one of them who were transferred to Great Prison of Tehran at the first session of interrogations in Shahid Moghadas court of Evin prison despite the issuance of the bail.

The imprisoned student was transferred for further interrogations in Shahid Moghadas court of Evin for the second time on June 17 and was transferred to ward 2-A of Evin prion.
